Re: Team Fortress 2

Goddammit Valve. I liked this update. I was looking forward to seeing the new weapons. I enjoyed Meet the Pyro. But one weapon (with unique stats) for the Pyro in the Meet the Pyro Update? Give us more to play with than that :(

Behold, Pyrovision

If Valve would just put in the Flamethrower buffs and the Tomislav nerf like they did in the beta I would be all happy inside.

The Christmas weapons are not worth a scrap yet, no. The Pomson still goes for a refined, the rest are in the reclaimed area.

Re: Team Fortress 2

A friendly detonator jumping pyro, does, however, let you farm crits. They count as on fire for a bit less than a second after detonating a flare near themselves, and you can extinguish them for crits.

Re: Team Fortress 2

I took Star's (youtube.com/niichts) advice: don't play plr_hightower. It's really just tdm_hightower. That is, I played hightower without thinking about the carts at all and just screwed around killing people. More servers need to play Hightower. It's one of my favorite maps when people are actuall...

Re: Team Fortress 2

I really wish Strange Rocket Launchers hadn't gone up to 3.66 refined in price. I also wish I hadn't sold the one I had. :( I find Strange Weapons are really good for when you want to practice with a weapon. It makes it more fun for me anyway.

Re: League of Legends

Recently started playing this, is tons of fun. :D So far champions I like are Jax, Vladimir, Graves, Malzahar and Ryze (most notably Jax). Main thing I'm having problems remembering are item builds, but I'm getting better at that. Also, my last hitting is terrible.

Anyone have some good tips?

Re: Team Fortress 2

Yeah only time I can ever manage that is when they build the sentry just around a corner. Then I sprint around and circle strafe the sentry. Although level threes kind of ruin that with their rockets...

I am trying to get better at airblasting those though.

Re: Team Fortress 2

Afterburn used to be a threat. But now every class has a way to counter it, and unless you got them down in the red health with direct fire there's a good chance they'll hit a health pack before afterburn actually kills them. That's why the Flare Gun is great against enemies who retreat once set on ...

Re: Team Fortress 2

Saxton Hale is a mod where one player is selected to be Hale, a character from TF2 lore. He can perform super jumps, has HP relative to the number of players (generally in the thousands) and can kill most everyone (except for heavies and overhealed soldiers I believe) in one shot with his Shovel. Re: Team Fortress 2

The problem with the 25% damage means that you're losing a ton of health to do a flare jump which isn't even good. Why couldn't they have kept the flare jump from the beta, which was rocket jump in height? :(

I love crit-flaring airborne targets. It makes me feel awesome even though it's not really that hard. :D However the problem with using Flaregun is that enemy Pyros are a massive pain. Anyway have a good way to deal with other Pyros when using Flare Gun/Axtinguisher?

Re: Team Fortress 2

Well the newer crates (Series 23-25) are going for like a scrap or a weapon or so because everyone wants to try out opening them for the new strange weaponry. More notably the Scattergun and the Knife since they'd be relatively easy to rank up (As opposed to a Pain Train, Charge'n'Targe or GRU)

The popular theory is that the majority of them are CoD players where sniper rifles are one shot kills to anywhere on the body and you can run around with an SMG and do well. Plus, a COMBAT KNIFE. ONE HIT KILLS!

Re: Team Fortress 2

Flare Gun > Detonator because crits on burning targets. And Detonator's flare jumping is terrible and not worth using for the most part.
