Re: Public Speaking Class

Most of what's helped me is a state of mind and simple practice. In terms of state of mind, calm yourself beforehand and remember that it's only speaking...after all, you've been doing it nearly all of your life, yes? Also, remind yourself that what you have to say is valid, important, and interesti...

Re: Two-Player RPG Suggestions?

We have already played the Tales of Symphonia sequel (which, as stated, was alright without being anywhere near as good as the first one). I had heard some lackluster things about Crystal Chronicles, so I'm not sure about that one... Secrets of Mana sounds pretty epic, from what I've heard. Thanks f...

Two-Player RPG Suggestions?

Hey - my friend and I recently completed Tales of Symphonia for GameCube (and the sequel for Wii), and we really enjoyed the multiplayer aspects. We were searching for more two-player RPGs but to little avail. Games need to be for either PS1 or GameCube/Wii, since those are the only systems we have ...

Re: Paper!

Oh...college-rule definitely. My handwriting is just too small, and it looks ridiculous taking up only half a line of wide-rule paper...plus you can fit so much more on a page! so i just tell myself that I'm being environmentally friendly, and not just painfully picky. Sometimes, it even works...

Re: "Spirit" Discussion

as pretty as the comic was (all colored and everything!), I was definitely more sad than amused. :c I guess i'll just hold out for whatever comic is sure to come on the topic of the iPad. I would have found that FAR more amusing than this...which was really just kind of a depressing way to start the...

The Most Bizarre Four Years of Your Life: A Webcomic

Hey xkcders! My roommate and I recently began a webcomic about the most bizarre four years of your life that you spend at university...if you like, please check us out and (if you can) let us know how we're doing. We love comments, criticism, and critique, and we're always looking to improve! You ca...

Re: Taking a "Gap Year"

I say that instead of taking a "gap year" go into community college and take a light load of classes there for a year instead. The work will make sure that you keep up on your studies (at least on a basic level), and colleges will like the fact that you didn't "waste a year" (the...

Re: Dropping out

High School may not be everything you ever wanted and more (isn't THAT just the understatement of the century), but you really need to stick with it. Sometime, see if you can find some stats for employment of people with a college degree, a high school degree, a GED, and nothing. You would really be...

Re: "Dirty Harry" Discussion

A constant beam of destruction would be much harder to control, would it not? Also, the stealth of shooting a gun from a hidden location would be lost, since the "beam of destruction" would lead right back to wherever the shooter was concealed. XD as for the comic...not that great. the alt...
