Re: 1756: "I'm With Her"

Can someone explain to me the appeal behind either third party candidate? Seriously. I'm not voting for Hillary over them because she's more likely to win (I live in MD.) I'm voting for her because both Jill Stein and Gary Johnson are stunningly unqualified. the myth of qualification needs to be th...

Re: 1176: "Those Not Present"

I didn't like this comic. It's not funny, but rather seems to be trying to point out how superior the author is. Criticizing the lack of humor in a strip which gives all indication of not trying to be funny is superfluous. I believe you'll find most of those who read today's xkcd will appreciate Ra...

2) This opinion is not a reasonable one anyway, as even though the Red Sox did defeat the Yankees tonight (or last night, depending on where you are as I type this), the Yankees still have a 75 percent of making the playoffs after the defeat, so this one game did not "seriously damage" th...

Because I would like that.

Re: 0875: "2009 Called"

I liked this one a lot. I've actually had this strange fantasy where I travel back in time to the 1980s and had to convince everyone to avoid various mistakes and disasters. This was slightly before I heard about Hot Tub Time Machine . I imagine it would be quite stressful to try to remember as muc...

Anyone try singing it?

He knows when you're awake/
He's copied on /var/spool/mail/root/
So be good for goodness' sake/

after the Dickinson comic I can't help but think he timed it.

EDIT: Also, has anyone else noticed that stick-guy's using a mac? Hey! I was just gonna post that! (Really...) If the argument is that the OS has those window-icons top-left instead of top-right it could as well be Ubuntu. From an aesthetic perspective, I feel the drawing has a nicer flow with the ...

It would be wise to not go to the wikipedia article.

I love these comics, I didn't get the momentum one though, I guess i should go read it up on wikipedia, or if some nice soul would care to explain it. It's a play on Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, which is that you can not know the exact position and momentum of an object. Wikipedia article .

Re: 0817: "Mutual"

I find the text beautifully somber: A universe that needed someone to observe it in order to collapse it into existence would be a pretty sorry universe indeed. That concept of collapsing into existence- that is, that by your pain from love unrequited, you may truly understand your life- is indeed a...

But by interacting with past-Rob, future-Rob automatically causes the future he's from not to exist, and thus is a paradox. Unless future-Rob is visiting a different time-stream, instead of merely the past of his own time-stream. In which case, he would stay after past-Rob had his memory "wipe...
