Re: British EU referendum in June [update: Leave wins 52% - 48%, politics ensue]

Making "lying" itself a crime is very parallel to bringing back punishment for heresy. Do you really want to go there? This is a pretty facetious argument, really, but for the sake of it: no, I don't think that lying in general should be a crime, because it would not be worth it to enforc...

Yes, making true statements has corrupt as well as uncorrupt applications. But (at least in the context of a public-office-holder) it's a lot harder to make the case that lying has any uncorrupt applications.

I'm not seeing a downside to politicians being legally constrained to speak only the verifiable truth while in office. If we had that here in the U.S. our current national nightmare would've been over by day three.

RPG.net deals with pretty much every existing angle of pen-and-paper roleplaying in their main site content, and they have forums which look to still be active; that said, I've never actually hung out there myself, just read some of their hilarious articles on SenZar and World of Synnibarr.

Ooh, good question. Windows does have a command-line utility for making plain symbolic links, but I don't know if there's one for full-fledged parametered shortcut files. That might be a PowerShell thing.
