I'm clearly missing a reference. Came here to find out what it was, to find there was no thread yet.

Refreshed for a bit because I'm too lazy to create it myself - now - someone fix my ignorance? =(

Pretty much exactly what I did.
I guess it would be a little hard to embed them all in an RSS properly :\

This is kinda creepy considering the hidden alt text on one of the pictures:

The alt texts on the images of this one were brilliant.

Re: 1168: Tar

And for bonus points, pipe your tar output across an ssh connection to a remote server, and untar it there - all in one command. I like this one! One gotcha is f has to be the last arg, as the next arg will be the filename (in this case dash meaning standard input/output) $ tar cvzf - <somefilename...

If you really want to annoy most web developers, all you have to do is design pages in Comic Sans. Or format anything that isn't a link in underlined blue text. I don't know about here, but on another forum they consider that the sign of the Antichrist. I'll admit to trying to click really. I expec...

The roads would be much quieter.
Unless secretly everyone actually *does* love formal logic.

Or maybe people love honking so much that they will come to love formal logic so they can honk again.

Have so many people really not read Ender's Game? In a nutshell: Family of 5, youngest kid (12ish?) goes off to 'space academy' of sorts to fight aliens. Meanwhile older siblings do exactly what the comic says, with Peter essentially becoming a 'President of Earth' (Hegemon they call it in the book)...

damn it - as in "God damn it" - which makes damnit simply lacking a space.... hrm.
Maybe we need an apostrophe added! dam'it!
