Re: 1106: "ADD"

Usually XKCD makes me laugh.

This one made me tear up.

It's indescribable, the feeling you get when you see that someone else knows what your life is like.

Re: 1106: "ADD"

The one labeled "Explain building seven freefall" is just out of the picture. ...Eleven years. That was what, four posts before we got a truther on here? Building 7 didn't drop at freefall speeds. There have been detailed explanations as to why it collapsed. A wise man once said that a co...

Re: 1049: "Bookshelf"

I'd actually love to know what people outside the US think of Ayn Rand. I would imagine she comes off as quite strange and a little psycho to most people. I tried reading Atlas Shrugged, but didn't get very far. I'd say that if people over here have an opinion of her at all, it's as "That nutt...

Re: 1049: "Bookshelf"

If you think Randall is doing a terrible job, make your own webcomic and do a better job. If you think Twilight is terrible, why don't you become a published novelist and show how it should be done? I don't get this whole attitude that one must be talented in a field in order to be able to criticiz...

Re: 1049: "Bookshelf"

My problem with Rand is not her villains nor her heroes; those people exist, and she carves them out in all their disturbing truth. No, the problem is she has virtually no one in between. Either you are the paragon of pure introverted goodness, or you are a parasite determined to destroy the world....

Re: 1049: "Bookshelf"

I understand that this is a comic, but "you have terrible taste" seems to be unnecessarily harsh. Rand didn't advocate being an asshole to people, she advocated living for oneself and not assuming that self sacrificing is a moral ideal, because to do so is to give in to the statist bullies...

Re: 0869: "Server Attention Span"

The four buttons and huge screen hint toward an Android phone of some sort (like my Droid X!) But I have run across this before. My phone does great displaying full content, and trying to view some pages when the browser keeps kicking me back to the mobile version is annoying. What also annoys me is...

Re: 0844: "Good Code"

Randall finally mentions Android. The trouble is, being non technical, I don't know where Android is supposed to be on that flow chart. Having sold the phones and seen how well they've worked (Esp. the ones by Motorola and HTC) I'm inclined to think that it's under "Code well" and "G...

Re: 0834: "Wikileaks"

Anonymous would not be hypocrites for wanting to keep their privacy yet support Wikileaks. In a government "from the people, by the people, for the people," there should be no secrets. Ever. Especially since the people are the ones who financially and physically support and pay for the gov...

Re: "Savannah Ancestry" discussion (#775)

The more I think about this, the funnier it gets. This is what I would call a "layered" comic. Beyond the obvious "The girl is arguing that she's intelligent but can't even get that he's not talking about evo psych but her personal background" joke, there's the subtle jab at the ...

Re: "Silent Hammer" Discussion

Just two weeks ago I was wondering when we'd see the return of Black Hat Guy. I really missed him, Randall. :(

And as usual, his diabolical schemes are the source of epic lulz.

Re: Alternative Energy Revolution

This comic is the funniest I've seen in a long time, appealing to literary and movie geeks WHILE lampooning current events. I couldn't stop laughing for several minutes.

You, sir, may just be the best new cartoonist in recent history.
