Re: Representative democracy without elections

Possible problems: confidental votes. This system requires keeping records of who voted for whom and the people processing new votes, since the votes expire naturally that is the only group which needs access, but still a bit harder to ensure confidentiality. Also I consider it as not unlikely that...

Re: Is Who wants to be a millionaire just a game of luck?

So basically, it's more a less a game of chance, but more than half the people on the show will lose, so it's not very fair. That show is making tons of money off of people. Screw the maths, how are they making money off the contestants? Because they make it with ad revenue... incidentally, I read ...

So essentially Mr. Hamm believes we don't need to know exactly what goes on in classrooms from an unbiased source; We should just go with whatever the teacher says, because you know someone like that wouldn't give an ounce to whatever a kid would say.

GTA IV, doing the usual. Massive cop chase ends with me in a swat van in the airport, taking heavy fire. A cop car pulls alongside me and I flip it on its side and use it for cover while I shoot back. Then a cop climbs out of the car, standing on the door while its on its side and shotguns me throug...

I haven't read about it because I want to watch it: My english teacher recommended it because it's being played from the beginning on ABC2 in australia from tuesday on, he's a fan of detective fiction and noir, etc etc.

I've reached a level of competency at Civilization that I can play pretty well while drunk until I get just far enough into my cups that I forget something simple but essential, like, oh, I don't know, building any units at all on my eastern flank while I move my entire army to the south . Also, as someone who is interested in playing 40k, are there game modes for smaller skirmishes or something? I really don't want to fork out for an "army," and customising a smaller group of models sounds more enjoyable than painting many units the same.
