Re: Police misbehavior thread

Dang, whiny manbabies really feel entitled to do whatever they want.
On a purely philosophical level, if she had never found out about this, would she still have been harmed?

The skua at McMurdo Station, Antarctica are very aggressive and will dive bomb anyone carrying food outside. They especially seem attracted to blondes with French fries. Usually it’s melted butter between the sheets of phyllo, not oil, but I suppose coconut oil will work if you’re vegan. 99% of the people making baklava use premade phyllo dough. There is a number on the box that tells how thick it is-the bigger the number, the thinner the sheet. Country style is the thickest. It’s not really more work than macarons.

That's shocking. The police should have a clear legal duty to try to save a person's life once they have been neutralised as a threat. It shows a shocking lack of humanity if nothing else - a contempt that should be unacceptable in a public servant.) The police don’t even have a legal duty to prote...

This idea that tax-funded programs are somehow “free” is one of the push points for the right wing in the USA. They act as though supporters of higher education and good healthcare are so naive that we expect them to rain down like manna from the heavens. We understand the costs just fine, we just w...

Not quite. We didn’t bomb those cities because they were full of Japanese people, we bombed them because they were cities of a sovereign government with which we were at war. Similar to bombing Dresden.

Hidden because sort of off topic- It goes beyond that, to the prosperity gospel. If you prosper, it’s because god loves you.
