Re: The Liquor Thread

I'm not particularly fond of the Gold label. It's okay for a blended scotch but I prefer the purity of a single malt. The green label is a blend of single malts, meaning no blended whiskys go into the mix. All the other Johnnie Walker blends mix single malts with blended whiskys. For this reason I p...

Re: The Liquor Thread

Today has been a long day, a day I had intended to take off and instead worked a 9 hour shift. In celebration of being home I have decided to make use of the random assortment of alcohol in my apartment. I offer, for your approval or disapproval, the Crystal Slipper: .5 ounces Blue Curacao 2 dashes ...

It's okay DJ. I shoot with a Pentax, and swear by my K10D, but nobody uses Pentax all that much. The upside to using a Pentax dslr is that my K1000 uses the same mount. So I can use all the same lenses on my film and digital cameras.

d33p, very well done my good man.

Here is an attempt to follow...

Meditation II

I am not the person who is translucent
I am not lucid

You may see me
but light shines like the sun
hiding behind the moon

(It is my
thoughts that remain

You cannot see me
hiding in the rays behind the moon)

I require a minimum of 6 pillows for myself and 33 blankets in total. Your choice in liquor is acceptable, but I will be bringing rye, gin, several types of bitters and vermouth, and a lot of red wine. I demand the appropriate fruits and herbs be provided for me.

The finer the grain the better consistency. Also, try and find an unbleached sugar, you would be amazed how different the taste is, and although the color is a bit off you can't tell once it is mixed. And the fresher the mint the better. Also, don't use leaves in the syrup. Keep those for the garnis...

When I got to meet d33p (which everyone should have the opportunity) we went on an impromptu adventure. Handle's are usually 1.5 Liters (Magnum) or 1.75 Liters (Half Gallon) depending on the company. Funny thing is that a double magnum (3 Liters) does not normally have a handle. You would think the larger volume would necessitate the use of a handle for easier carrying.
