Re: "Circuit Diagram" Discussion

Well, the class itself is ECE220 here, but all the same...

I am this --||-- close to firing up PSpice and testing the equivalent resistance of that bundle, though I see that's already been done.

Re: "Strip Games" Discussion

Yeah, seems like the fraction got inverted somewhere along the line. Otherwise, great strip. Or, you know, comic.

I've never personally played strip Magic: The Gathering, but I wouldn't be terribly averse  .

Re: "Piano" Discussion

I can think of quite a few ways, many of them somewhat disturbing, in which this comic makes me laugh.

Re: "Induced Current" Discussion

Yeah, the magical beret seems to have been fixed. It's still on the right (as in, wrong) side of the head, though. I thought it was the nihilist again, but I doubt he has much use for extension cords. Also, it's not a paradox. It is simply inevitable that either the myth will be busted when they fin...

Re: "Induced Current" Discussion

The LHC idea sounds a bit scary but would probably make for a very boring show. It would be the last show they ever make, as they would try and prove the myth and destroy the world. They'd debunk the myth quite firmly, and then set out to replicate the results. They always show what it would take f...

Re: "Scantron" Discussion

To my knowledge, I've never had a problem with scantron tests, despite much worrying. And they don't stop at high school. I really can't wait to get out of these huge lecture classes with 300+ kids taking exams together.

Double major?

I'm currently a first-semester freshman, and I have the dogged ambition to hope for two majors and a minor in 4 years, with a master's degree to follow promptly. College is fun. So my main question to you all is, from your experience, what is the worth of a double major as opposed to a major and a m...

Re: Steal This Comic

The main problem with the whole business is that, ultimately, businesses that sell something that can be replicated quickly, accurately, and effortlessly (and can also be distributed as such) have no idea what they've got their hands on. Pretty much hand-in-hand with the capitalist system comes the ...

Re: "Spore" Discussion

Well, personally, I just picked up Galactic Civilizations 2, and I've noticed that it shares an alarming amount of its content with the Civilization series. Since they're both great games, I even thought of playing through a game of Civ 4, winning by space race, and then starting GalCiv2 with a cust...

Re: Party Schools

I've started at the University of Arizona, which is apparently known as a party school. Honestly, I haven't even heard of a single party happening, and I haven't done anything to seek them out. So long as you research your dorm (I'm in an honors dorm) and request a roommate (some schools have websit...

... The title text was rofl-worthy, though, as was this: Also, this comic reminds me of a South Park episode. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proper_Condom_Use Reading about that in such a serious, professional tone of voice/writing/whatever was amusing. Add a dash of Freemanic Paracusia, and it's com...

Yahtzee's Webcomic Spiel

First of all, hello. I would've registered a long time ago if Comcast hadn't blocked my registration email. Been lurking for months now and finally got up the motivation to contribute my thoughts. So, without further ado... Many of you may be familiar with Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw, the genius...
