Re: "RPS" Discussion

I'm wondering why some people thinks RPN is faster than infix. Maybe it's my background, but I always get lost when I need to do an operation in a HP calc. Also, I'm not pretty sure that it's useful when you do long calculations, i.e. compound interest. Icomp=B*((1+r)^m-1) How can yo...

The SAT reading? Writing? I think it is reading... the multiple choice one... also scares the crap out of me because I know like 3% of those words, and I'm also stuck having to make a very educated guess... and I freak out when I have to do that. Not exactly SAT... See, I'm Colombian. I was born, r...

I'm fairly certain that one comes with the other, vice versa. Insecureness (is it right?) and self confidence aren't completely opposite, I guess. Psychology and a strong vocabulary have never been my strong points. Though I do know some random big words and work them into every day speech... like ...

Ahahaha, I remember my own egg drop contest. Mine was truly simple: a 10 oz soup plate from polystyrene (which was left from a party a couple of days before), full of jelly and the egg right there. And just in case, a parachute from a Carrefour plastic bag. Of course, I won. Even when half the jelly...

snip I think the US and UK should impose size restrictions on vehicles. Unless you're actually a farmer or regularly traverse grass slopes you do not need a Range/Land Rover. You definitely don't need a 4x4 that doesn't go off-road (because then there's no point for the height and size of the damne...

Re: "SUV" Discussion

If you want cheap fuel, you should go to Venezuela. Gas there costs in the order of US$0.15 per gallon (US$0.04 per liter). It's apparently cheaper than water over there. Yep, but everything you get with a US$0.15/gal price is getting lots and lots of Hummers, Yukons and other big SUVs running out ...

Man, you say it's hard pay US$9/gal, what the hell could I say? Here in Colombia, we pay $3.80/gal regular, $4.80/gal premium... with a US$8000/year anual income.

It's no strange at all why lots, LOTS of motorbikes are bought here. Maybe I'll buy one soon...
