Happy Biopsy-versary, Mr. & Mrs. Munroe! I'm all teared up from the comic and the forum responses and from what I'm attempting to write, but it's in a "life is beautiful" kind of way. I've thought about Mrs. Munroe several times since I first started reading XKCD- usually, I'...

Re: Thanksgiving Food

We went to my mother-in-law's house for Thanksgiving, and she had all the usual stuff- turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberries, and acorn squash, as well as a new one for me- some really yummy broccoli and cauliflower in a creamy sauce. I baked my "famous" (to my in-laws, anyway) ba...

Awesome comic! :D It's nice when I read an XKCD that I can understand without having to rely on explanations from the forum. Now I can just read all the fun discussions about it! Wishbone was a great TV show, it always gave a fun summary to all the classics. I should still have some old worn out VHS recordings of it somewhere Same! :D I loved Wishbone so much! Why is any of this an issue? Does the ingredients section for a candy bar say "Electricity" anywhere on it? My thoughts exactly! When you look at a cake recipe, the ingredient list doesn't include heat from the oven. It's in the instructions on how to make it! Just for the record, ...

This one is way too vague, it only says what the dangerous part of the scenario is, without fully explaining the danger. Umm... This thread is full of tons of useful advice! :D I wish I had heard all this advice the first year I moved into my dorm. Not really sure where to put this, but I've recently been trying to really hone in on what I'd like to do for work, and I was thinking about how little I know about what most people spend their time doing at their professions - and how it would be cool if there were a ton of pretty short videos kin...

I wanted to offer my take on the fuel economy units. The best form to use depends on what you're most interested; in other words, what is fixed and what is variable. Long time reader, first time poster, you know the drill. I was surprised that no one mentioned this, so I had to comment.
