The vast majority of XKCD can easily be understood with a high school education. I don't think most people at that education level learn Euler diagrams, but would know Venn diagrams. I rescind my earlier comment. I misunderstood the point Mr. Munroe was making. We haven't been more than half an inch from the surface SINCE we've been to the moon ;)
