She's actually done a few programming courses and is thinking of going in to robotics. I think what she's struggling with is the "what if I choose the wrong major"/"am I choosing this major for the wrong reasons" conundrum.

That is a nice chunk of the day, and would probably cost lots and lots of spoons just to get to and from work.

I'm not sure about any studies, but it does seem that with spoonies there's constant fatigue, which might explain all the sleeping.
