Tell me, phentos, have you ever played halo 2? Not only is that not Halo 2 onscreen, but that is a Wii controller in the kids hand. With the nunchuck attachment. Unless, of course, the 360 now splits in two, and Halo 2 looks completely different from how it hitherto did? Geez. I don't mind being cr...

No, absolutely not. You do NOT ever dictate who is or isn't allowed to post in "your" thread. You do NOT dictate the rules of discourse in any thread, whether or not you started it. Hey cockwad; dismount your high horse before you buck yourself off. I wasn't dictating who is allowed or no...

Re: The Potential Reformation of the United States of America

The National Guard of the United States is a reserve component of the United States Army (the Army National Guard) and the United States Air Force (the Air National Guard). Both are maintained through the National Guard Bureau, a semi-independent subordinate entity of the United States Department o...

That's the National Guard, there's a difference. A HUGE difference. Last time I checked, DC has no National Guard, only some people with automatic weapons guarding other people that tell us how dangerous it is for the common citizen to own guns. Umm...you realize that the National Guard is a reserv...

I recommend jZip. It's based on 7-Zip, but is more polished and efficient (I prefer it's shell integration over all the others I've tried, very simple, albeit it is similar to others).

Fine, then my point stands: You're not any longer talking about the US, you're talking about some fictional fascist state based loosely on the US, in which the military and government would likely be structured very differently than they are now, and you should say that up front. That isn't what I'...

Except the point is that there's only one authority figure in the Milgram experiment. Real life is a little har...

Would the military really desert, assuming the chain of command didn't crumble?
