Shameless plug

well...okay, it's not completely shameless, since it's not for me. But if you guys would vote for my friend for this job in australia, you would all be officially my favorite internet people. she really deserves it, and it only takes a minute. http://www.islandreefjob.com/applicants/watch/YWtnU2fFN4...

I'm at TAMUCC. I know a lot of people here who read xkcd, but I don't think anyone posts on the forums. Heck, I hardly post on the forums.

I wonder what would happen if they actually did invite Randall to speak at siggraph. My head would quite explode from awesomeness. On that note, this comic made my night because i've always wondered that AND i'm looking forward to siggraph. What a coincidence!! Oh me yarm guys! Randall's in my head...

Ooh, that's what I should make! A compiler that takes machine code and compiles it to DNA! That way, you just compile your program in whatever language you like (sorry java), then recompile to DNA, and off you go. ROBOTIC CUTTLEFISH HAh! you could use IJVM! (just kidding, if you got that, I share y...

Re: Steal This Comic

I like having the actual cd, so I don't have much need to pirate. Plus, thanks to iTunes, cds are cheaper than they ever were (a dollar a song instead of the 20 bucks for 11 songs I remember from junior high).

Wow. I think I need to visit my local library. This comic reminded me a lot of Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller. They're installation artists from Canada and they have this specific installation called The Dark Pool. I saw it on a trip to Miami, definitely check them out if any of you ever see ...

If anything, the word blog sounds *more* silly. And now the teenagers are starting to say things like "honest to blog". I'm a pretty easygoing person, but that phrase drives me to violent thoughts.

I was ten bucks invested. Well, actually 30, but since my bet with my dad was done by each half, I only lost ten to the family pool. My mom made bank tonight, though.

Uh.. yea, the football was good, too.

For extra fun, she can bring an accomplice. It would work the same way, except that after the eye-rolling/glaring/etc, she'd turn to her accomplice and pretend to talk about him, looking over in his direction just enough for him to notice. And if you want you can toss in a few choice words like &qu...

I tend to do this a lot. I'm trying to stop, since my mom has a habit of coming into my room around 5 or so (just as I'm about to go to bed) and scaring the sh*t out of me. She just sneaks up and quietly asks what I'm still doing up. It's scary when you're not expecting anyone to come sneaking into ...
