Re: Spontaneous phantom Page Down keystrokes

Yeah, I would think if it were a hardware issue, blocking input from the key would fix it.

And Steax, that's a good idea, thanks. I'll try at that as soon as possible.

Spontaneous phantom Page Down keystrokes

Alright, so my laptop has developed this issue, seemingly at random, where it starts acting like the Page Down key is being held. The only thing that stops it is tapping up on the arrow keys, but it will often start again a few seconds later. Obviously, this makes browsing the net a huge hassle, and...

Customizing an off-the-air original Droid

Okay, so a few months back, my original Droid's power button just broke. No worky. Given that, and how sluggishly it was running, I bit the bullet and pulled an early upgrade to a Droid X2. I love it, haven't looked back. Except today, when I finally got around to transferring the 16 GB microSD card...

Just finished Fine Structure, an online sci-fi novella. Really a fantastic read. It's hard to absorb all the detail and threads on just one reading, though. Just the way I like it.

Dude, read the handful of posts I've made explaining why I feel this is a bad thing. If you have any specific questions, by all means, ask them. My apologies, I should have been more specific. You seem to be referring to the negative effects upon society, I was thinking of humanity as a whole (and ...

I guess see above. My opinion is, if its still too muddy to make out, is that immortality would be awesome, because I would never get bored, I would never tire, and everyone deserves the grandeur that is me forever and ever. However, everyone should not be immortal because that would be a Very Bad ...

2.) Most of the progress we've made on AIDS has come from antiretroviral drugs -- basically drugs that slow the reproduction of the AIDS virus. We've been unable to kill it. This breakthrough is important because its a drug that seems to effect AIDS in a differnt way -- by messing with its ability ...

Seems like the Gunslinger will be best combined with the Wrangler - puts its DPS back at the level of a normal Level 1 sentry, while cutting incoming damage by 2/3.

Presumably they're immediately added to your 'reservoir' after the sentry kills something or is killed. I wonder if there will be a way to track the number of crits you have in reserve.

I'll be very interested to get my hands on the Frontier Justice. First instinct was that it was a bit powerful, but when I think about it, halving the magazine capacity is a fairly strong mitigating factor. I think I'll be using it regardless, though.

I'm thinking bulletproof armor. I doubt it. Aramids, the usual fibers for armor, are especially good for that purpose because its polymer chains make very tough crosslinks with each other. The trouble then is to prevent too much crosslinking during production, and aramids work because it just possi...
