### Re: Geek Flirt

I did write it manually by hand. I didn't even know about that competition. I wish I did though. That thread would've been helpful.

this is (or is supposed to be) an ASCII art rose. Here's a BF program that will output a nicer ASCII art rose. >>>>>>>>>>>>>++++[<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++<+++++++ +<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++<++++++++>>>>>>>>>>>>>-]+++++++[<+ <+<+<+<+<+<+<+<+<+<+<+>>>>...

Styhn, You're getting an infinite loop because your i variable is global. Set the i variable as a local variable in each of your modules to eliminate the infinite looping. After you do this you'll still have a slow algorithm, but at least it will finish. The easiest way that I can think of to speed ...

### Re: Swing is a butt about drawing lines and shapes.

I would like to help you, but I don't want my code to just be copy & pasted into your assignment. So, I wrote a java application that demonstrates the depth-first search process, and in order to avoid copy & paste, I wrote the whole thing in LOLJAVA. Here it is. public class MAH_GUI extends ...

### Re: PHP Math Programming

I copy & pasted the code you posted and I got accurate results. Your problem is probably occurring in some other part of your code. If you post more code it will be easier to identify your problem.

### Re: A program to demonstrate evolution - and an error

You're problem is occurring in darwin::ass_fitness(). You need to change the line that says

Code: Select all

`fitness[j]=count;`

into

Code: Select all

`fitness[i]=count;`

and then it should work fine.

The warning is there because you're casting the Object returned by list.get(i) to team and player on lines 31 and 36. If the Object returned by list.get(i) isn't of the type you're casting to, it will throw a ClassCastException. Modify your code to use generics, then it will compile with no warnings...

The High School I went to didn't offer any compsci classes. The closest thing they had was a Web Design class that taught very basic html.

My senior year, I bought a book and taught myself the AP Computer Science curriculum. I had to take the test at a different school, and I got a 5 on it.
