With a genre like post-hardcore (a fancy way of saying alternative-emo), breakout bands are a dime a dozen and many never get more than 15 seconds of fame.

Re: My teacher is teaching HORRIBLE THINGS

In my web design class, we used Dreamweaver exclusively, and only dealt with the WYSIWYG portion of it. We never talked about tags of any sort. Usually, I'd be upset about something like that, but honestly I wasn't expecting much at all. Anyway, it was a class my senior year right before an end of t...

Getting involved with a FOSS project

I'm currently a freshman Computer Science and Engineering student who is looking to help out some open source project. I know Java sufficiently well (~1.5 years of experience), but that's really it. I can understand some C/C++ because it's so similar to Java. I'd also be willing to learn some more C...

What constitutes "knowing" a programming language? For example, I know most of Java, but certainly not all of it. Would knowing the basics of the language (conditional statements, loops, data structures, etc.) be sufficient? Or would you have to know more advanced features (JavaBeans, Sock...

BEng in Computer Science and Engineering.
Possible minors in math or cognitive science.

The minor in math would require 0 extra classes, assuming I picked the right classes for my CSE degree.

Starting next year at UConn.
