Re: What If updates are temporarily on hold

I have started to hate the proton earth and electron moon article. I've seen the first lines dozens of times now, and every time the hope for a new article that shimmers in my heart takes a harder beating, and sadness clouds my mood more and more. But I'm afraid if I don't regularly check if there's...

Re: What-If 134: "Space Burial"

I have no knowledge about this subject whatsoever, so if this question is stupid, please forgive me - but I was wondering if the strong UV wouldn't slowly desintegrate your body? Randall doesn't mention it at all, but I would expect it to have at least some small influence on the decay of human tiss...

Re: 1052: “Every Major’s Terrible”

Sounds to me as if either the L or the ' should be left out. Or is it a contraction of "well it's" that I've never came across before? In that case, my apologies and please move on.

It's really bugging me (pahdum tsss) that etymology with extra N is still entYmology, not ENTOmology. Entomology man should have realized this.

On most (laptop) screens, simply changing the viewing angle would be sufficient to notice it... I only see it completely black at 90 degrees and below.

Actually, when you compare the data of women and men with the same heights, the female weight will most likely still be less on average (source: http://dined.io.tudelft.nl/dined/ ). However, when a man and woman have the same height, at least one of them is already very far from the gender average (...

When I translate it to English, my name would be Cheetah Bowsprit. It starts out well, but the latter part doesn't sound very promising. I've never heard of this porn name thing, probably because Holland is so small and there are so few porn actors you couldn't hide your real name if you wanted. One...

Re: 0876: "Trapped"

The major point of failure is the operator herself. Her dialogue is unnaturally constructed purely to move the comic along. There's no way she could discern the guy's incoherent babbling that quickly, and the fact that she does proves that the setup is poorly thought out and just awful in general. ...

Is there a way for the standard android browser to act like a normal browser? Mobile websites are almost as bad as the equivalent apps (like Facebook Mobile vs. Facebook App). I rarely ever use the mobile websites, although some extremely stubborn websites (like Facebook again) every now and then throw you back to their mobile nonsense. My smartphone has a 4 inch screen, I ca...

This comic is awesome, and not just because it's got nanobots. Nowadays, any nerdy thing showing nerdy people's going to have some women in it. That's good. But xkcd is the only place I've ever seen a nerdy gathering consist of ALL women. This is awesome! Either that, or the one on the left travell...
