so with beer mat calculations a 6 drive raid 0 is going to be the same speed as ssd and an 8 drive raid 5 would have the same speed but data redundancy, power requirements aside you'd have masses of uber fast (both read and write) hd space for less. Remember that seek time is still a problem though...
