Re: Swimming: its not just good for escaping Raptors anymore

also, i have terrible sinus problems, but i got a neti pot about a month ago and it instantly changed my life. so if you haven't tried that i highly recommend it. it's way cheaper than allergy medication and way more effective. Even better than a neti pot are those "Ocean Saline" Canister...

Re: How the internet will affect the coming generation

I think the answer is obvious: It will become a right of passage soon to have your name change. People will turn 21, and then take on their "adult" name. Many cultures have had "right of passages", and this will be ours...how else will that duke sex powerpoint girl ever get a job...

Re: Formula for calories lost doing INSERT EXERCISE HERE

I can definitely tell you that any calculator (like say bodybuilding.com's) will way underestimate weightlifting and sprinting. The calories burned during these exercises won't be much due to the durations of effort. However, when you incorporate the continued "after effects" your metaboli...

Re: What do you do if you wake up X centuries ago?

I'd probably rewrite a few books/ideas from memory: <> Pasteur <> Kant <> Freud <> Tesla ....but as my own :D Intellectually, people had it easier those days, there was still lots of "captain obvious" to be "discovered". Now you have to be into something REALLY obscure to get any...

Re: Hard work vs. Smartishness

I personally would prefer (in a job interview, not in general) a medium-intelligent person who works his/her butt of over a super intelligent, who doesn´t do anything. I´m myself of the later type, I consider myself to be above average intelligence, but I am lazy as hell. I know what goes on in the...

Re: The media would have us believe there was a "mystery lau

I thought it was fairly common to see those "trials" from jet planes in the sky? The fact that the guy filming was able to watch it for 10 minutes pretty much nailed it for me that it was no missile. Stupid media :D

Re: Weight Loss Help. Please?

I can personally say that a ketogenic diet is best for weight loss. The idea is that 50% or more of your diet comes from fat. It is not bad for you. People with epilepsy go on this diet for other reasons. Eating tons of fat along with lots of sugar is horrible for you (triglycerides come from carboh...
