The box above the comic currently says, "Check your registration and find your polling place at vote.org." My registration is all set, but my car's registration expires at the end of October, so that was a good reminder, even if I couldn't find its information on vote.org.

Why is he surprised by this? Everybody knows the Backpack Decision Problem is NP-complete, and Randall isn't one to accept an approximate solution. All those other decisions can be made exactly in polynomial time. The only thing hard about any of them is deciding which order to visit colleges in.

I think Netflix should have a series about meteorologists from alternate universes, with an ensemble cast. That is, all of the principal actors are playing the same character, with slight variations to initial conditions.

The extra joke if you know sports is that the Lakers are actually more likely than average to be fans of the team Mike Trout plays for. He managed to pick the right city the first time, while getting the wrong sport.

Using shift-shift to switch between Qwerty and Dvorak is nuts. That's obviously supposed to be maximize or horizontal window shade, depending on whether you do it left-to-right or right-to-left.

Weirdly, some of the rescue workers from Fukoshima Dai-ichi seem to be keeping in touch with each other in English in the google reviews. And rating it higher than I would expect, considering.

I don't think snakes come in 24Ω. That snake's probably actually 2.40MΩ. Then it would be banded red-yellow-green. The snake in question (whether king or coral) is red, yellow, and black. Actually, that's not a weird trick for reducing your mortgage payments; most people's mortgage payments are reduced with sodium borohydride.as part of the recycling process. Dithiothreitol would be a weird trick for reducing your mortgage payments.
