Re: Do you make up stories in your head?

Man, pretty much all the time. I think it started back when I was a kid; I was sometimes unsatisfied with the conclusion to a story for a cartoon, and decided to do something about it by thinking up a scenario that suited my wishes better. I think that this started when I was a kid watching Pokemon....

In this scenario: 1. Panic. 2. Panic some more, maybe have a breakdown. Curl into a ball, sob profusely, howl, etc. 3. Recover, maybe make myself a cup of tea if I can. Realise that I'm not going to drink fucking tea; worry that I'm dismissing tea unfairly since no-one will ever drink it again. Babb...

So, this is an admittedly silly experiment, but I think it's sort of related; Researchers developed a robot that 'punches' subjects, and gauges their pain response, adjusting it's force appropriately to determine what a humans 'pain levels' are. The idea is if you want to make a robot that won't hu...

I don't usually smile by default (my jowly face takes care of that) so I have to remember to smile when I end up looking at people. But yeah, I usually do the same thing as you.

Luckily, I live in England, so nobody likes looking at anyone anyway.
